At The Orchard Practice we are fortunate to have a skilled nursing team, comprising of four Practice Nurses and three Health Care Assistants, who between them are able to provide:

• Phlebotomy
• Blood pressure and hypertension management (including 24hr blood pressure monitoring)
• Asthma management 
• COPD management
• Hypertension clinics
• Spirometry 
• Diabetic management
• 8 Week Baby checks
• Baby and Child immunisation
• Travel immunisations 
• Coil Fitting/Removal
• Implant Fitting/Removal
• Complex wound management, including Doppler assessments 
• Removal of sutures or clips 
• Ear Syringing
• Audiology tests
• ECGs
• Learning Disability Health Checks (alongside a GP)
• NHS Health Checks
• New patient checks
• Smear tests
• Zoladex Injections
• National immunisation programmes, e.g. flu, pneumococcal, shingles, Meningitis ACWY

Each of our nurses has an area of expertise and we will ensure you are booked in with the appropriately trained nurse for your appointment.
