At The Orchard Practice we are fortunate to have a skilled nursing team, comprising of four Practice Nurses and three Health Care Assistants, who between them are able to provide:
- Phlebotomy
- Blood pressure and hypertension management (including 24hr blood pressure monitoring)
- Asthma management
- COPD management
- Hypertension clinics
- Spirometry
- Diabetic management
- 8 Week Baby checks
- Baby and Child immunisation
- Travel immunisations
- Coil Fitting/Removal
- Implant Fitting/Removal
- Complex wound management, including Doppler assessments
- Removal of sutures or clips
- Ear Syringing
- Audiology tests
- ECGs
- Learning Disability Health Checks (alongside a GP)
- NHS Health Checks
- New patient checks
- Smear tests
- Zoladex Injections
- National immunisation programmes, e.g. flu, pneumococcal, shingles, Meningitis ACWY
